Carbon winter forks

Obviously in the middle of an awesome heatwave the logical thing to do is rebuild your winter bike, right? So can anybody recommend a good set of budget friendly carbon winter forks with an eye for fitting a proper fixed mudguard? There are a few cheap sets on Ebay but both are for long drop brakes which isn't what I want. The cheapest I've found so far are a Deda set at Ribble for £90, which is a little more than I wanted to spend since the new winter frame only cost £80 (ex display Dolan Pref). Thanks

Winter forks mean fatter tyres and full guards and that usually mean long drop brakes I'm afraid.

Shimano R650 brakes are a lot better than most standard callipers.

Was it the Deda black rain you were looking at? £80 for those is pretty good - they're £130 most other places.

Good winter fork with mudguard eyes. Think it is a long drop fork as well though.

I've been in the same boat. Paid £60 for a second hand Preffisio frame and ended up spending more than that on Alpina forks from Dolan.

Maybe more than you want to pay, but they will work perfectly with your frame. The Deda Black Rain, as mentioned, are for long drops.

There's the Kinesis DC07 fork to consider, but to get adequate clearances like others have said, you're looking at longer drop calipers.

Ribble have three for under £100.
