Hi
I have a bike running a 105 groupset and find the trimming facility helpful to say the least.
I'm looking at purchasing a planet x bike that runs SRAM Rival levers, do they have the same type of option? also, what is this double click method I've seen in the specifications for these levers?
thanks
Ian

Yes the front shifters have trim in the big ring. That said, if adjusted properly you shouldn't need to trim at all (I don't need to trim with Rival).
Double tap uses one lever for shifting up and down. Press it just far enough for one click and let go to shift up; press it further to the second, third, and fourth click to shift down one, two, or three sprockets.
As you know, Shimano uses two separate levers to shift up/down.
DoubleTap is really down to preference. Test ride a bike if you can to see if you like it.0 -
My experience of Rival, Force and Red is that although the trim is there I've never needed it, no chain rub on any extreme of chain line if setup correctly.0
