I am considering having a steel bike made.
How long would it take and what do prices begin at?

    How long is a piece of string? Prices vary from maker to maker, and depending on the type of tubing used. And differen makers will have different lead times. What is your budget?

    I was looking at carbon bikes in the £1500 range.
    I see Rourke start at about £850 with a fork.
    I would not want to pay much more and preferably less if possible

    There's also Bob Jackson, Mercian and Enigma amongst others. It really comes down to to extras including chrome and paint
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

    It's GOT TO have some chrome on it somewhere.
