Chain ring teeth hitting chain stay..

I got my single ring and crank arms today (33t as i'm going single speed) went to test fit the drive side chain ring and the teeth hit the chain stay. Could it be I need some spacers or a new BB with longer spindle arms? BB is a Shimano UN26

    fit it on the outer ring position.

    what length is the axle?
