So far I quite like the Fulcrum Quattros, as they are aero at 35mm and are fairly light at 1710g for the pair.
Does any one have any other recommendations etc.

Hands builts are possible for around £250.WyndyMilla Massive Attack | Rourke 953 | Condor Italia 531 Pro | Boardman CX Pro | DT Swiss RR440 Tubeless Wheels

Shimano Ultegra - Merlin have them for about £300ish
Campags on special at Wiggle
Or hanbuilts - am seriously tempted by those A23s
It's just a hill. Get over it.0 -
The new Shimano RS61's look good - circa 1700g, 11 speed compatible and under £200:

Leaves money for some GP4000S tyres and Vittoria Ultralite tubes. Would make a decent wheel package.
I have Shimano RH601's, RS20's, RS80 C24s and Dura Ace 9000 C24 and they all run super smooth, are easy to maintain and take a load of abuse (83kg rider).0 -
1700g handbuilts are a serious option (I can think of a few) as are all the other options mentioned.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0

I suppose I should add I am looking to upgrade from a set of R500s, which I would be keeping as a training wheelset. The idea is the new wheelset will have a decent set of racing tyres on and I can use them for TTs and any special events etc.
I dont have to worry about my weight limiting choice as I only weigh 59kg, i wouldnt like to go above £250 as will need to also buy tyres, cassette, inner tubes and ideally a nice new chain.0 -
OpenPro or A23s on 105 rims. If feeling a bit flush throw on Hope hubs.0

I am just back from Germany, where 90% of people on bikes ride big tourers weighing 25 Kg + 10 Kg of panniers for the pic-nic... so I have to reaccustom myself to the importance of saving 50 grams on wheels... will be back with it soon...left the forum March 20230
