I'd like to know people's opinions on what the performance differences between these 2 wheels are. I plan to use them for my Sunday best wheels and also for 10 mile TTs. I'm unsure if the Paul Curran built ones are worth the £50 extra.

£50 difference between the two, but I will have 10% off either of them.

Neither set are particularly light at approaching 1800gr so you want to be sure you are riding at a pace where the deeper section will be of benefit, otherwise go for a shallower rimmed, lighter wheel set (assuming you are not too heavy).0

If it's for Sunday best and TTs then go tubular and save yourself 400g. I'm tempted by the Fat 45 Tubs myself.0

I'm 78KG. I've been thinking about a wheel upgrade for ages. These, hand builts the lot. The choice is bewildering.
Big purchase, keen to make sure it's the right one hence the indecision.Trainer Road Blog: https://hitthesweetspot.home.blog/

been on my bike rain and shine, up and down the alps, road races and off road (when getting lost) the best wheels i have ever owed and are still as true as the day they turned up on my door step!0 -

...so Supermurph - why did you go for the 52s rather than the new CT45 and are they living up to expectation. I average 28 - 30 kph on my standard clinchers so would I get the benefit from a pair of these wheels?0
