hi there,
I'm new to bike radar but not cycling.that's not to say I'm an expert either!
I currently own a cube peloton race and have used it over the last year for social riding and a few sprint/standard triathlons.it has served me well.
I recently completed im70.3 and now I wanna do Bolton next year
and possibly the outlaw the year after.
I am looking at upgrading to the felt AR5 mainly cos it seems a good halfway house as it is a carbon aero frame, easily set up for triathlon with clip on bars.I also like the way it looks and up off to test ride one next week.
my only thing is the gearing is different is is 52/36 as opposed to standard compact.will this make climbing that much harder?I'm no whippet up hill more I grind em out but the easier the better and here in Devon hills are aplenty!
I guess my question is does anyone have experience of the AR5 and has anyone used it for triathlon?
many thanks

  • Get some cheap deep rimmed carbon tubs and keep the Cube. Work on power output and aero position.
I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles

+1, you have a decent bike there, upgrading the wheels would be the most cost effective thing to do. However, it's your money and if you want a new bike, the felts get great reviews
