Chris Froome has shown he is the strongest competitor so far this year so it's his race to lose really.

i think froome is the only rider who seriously thinks he can win, the rest will end up hoping for podium, could even be a supprise name on the podium.

If Sky ride as badly as they did at the start of last years tour then anything can happen in a nervous peloton. If Froome stays upright and healthy he wins. I am looking forward to seeing if Purito, Contadour, Valverde, Evans etc can make a meaningful attack at any point. I have also got a soft spot for Voeckler, you know he will try an animate the race at some point. I also expect good showing from Dan Martin and Thibaut Pinaut.

I just cannot see anyone beating Froome and Sky's squad of super domestiques as long as they stay upright and healthy. Other teams will try and break the Sky train with tactics, but it will all come to naught.

Will be great to see Cavendish take on Greipel again too.

Agreed. Froome has a great team around him, will be interesting to see if the Spaniard does. Might give him a good run for his money.

The GC is Froome's to loose. Nibali is the only man this year at the same level but isn't riding. I hope a few others peak at the right time though and make it intresting.

Sprints will be a lot more competitive. Cav, Sagan and Greipel will be good to see.

I'm predicting a total OPQS dominance in the sprints. I am looking forward to seeing their train squash everyone else & Cav just stamping over all & sundry. Hopefully Sagan can put up a decent fight tho.

I predict Thibaut Pinot does really well again & along with TJVG will be the best young riders. Expect Van Gaarderen to win a stage, he was held back by Evans last year. Can't stand Evans.

Rodriguez will do well in the mountains, but will find company with Schleck (I hope), Contador & Froome.

Most teams will be out to counteract Skys bludgeoning pace this time but if Sky can do it like they did last year they will be hard to beat. They effectively have 1 more rider to add to the pressure this year as Cav was basically used as a glorified bottle carrier last year & didn't really add to the mountain train.

I hope this one is a bit more competitive but I am rooting for Froome Dog.

    GC - Froome
    Points - Cav
    KOTM - Rodriguez
    Young Rider - Thibaut Pinot

GC - Anyone but Froome - I'll be the chap on the Semnoz with the t-shirt on
KOM - TV Tommy - would also like to see him in yellow again
    Green - don't mind - it's just a jersey for going fast for 100m ;-)

Froome to be pushed very close by contador, but just edge it.
Andy to be out of contention before leaving Corsica, then get 'lapped' on the alpe - That would be nice
Gesink to be in the top 10
Only see the British champs jersey on this Saturday and then never again for 3 weeks.

Yeah I think most would agree there. Only reason I'm rooting for him is cos he's a Brit (& Brad isn't there). Will be interesting to see how he reacts to being put under heavy pressure. He might be a bottler?

I'd love to see a French rider win the GC (if Froome doesn't), in it's centenary year a French win would make everyone go ballistic. France would just have a week long party!! They have plenty of talent too.

Expect to see the obligatory Jeremy Roy attacks in the early stages!!!
