Here's mine.
Lovely bike but not built for racing so the parts are going to a new frame and the steel one will no be demoted to club run duties.0 -

Umm Nice, I'm into pale blue bikes at the moment. I also have a rattling lever on my Moser single speed. Adjusting the tension on the brakes, to take up any slack in the cable, helped a bit, but I've taken to wrapping my fingers both sides of the rear brake lever to stop the noise on uneven pavé0 -
And here's mine to lower the tone a bit. Cyclescheme bike with added Aksiums. Basically a nice frame and forks with cheap everything else .
I also have a Dave Yates MTB (steel) and a Whyte 19 Steel (steel). I like steel .0 -
Most of the way through building my all-seasons road bike. It's fillet brazed and made with Columbus Zona, and I'll be using a Columbus Hiver fork.
Chain stay bridges, head badge, and and braze-ons need to be added, then ream, chase & face the head tube, BB shell & seat tube. Once that's done it'll be off for paint.

Too nice to paint. Please don't paint it. Please. Clear lacquer and that's all. Please.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

My "old" steel (1987) with lots of "new" on it. I've posted elsewhere but the latest new bit was swapping out the Cinelli front end for Nitto compact bars and stem. Big improvement to comfort and still looks classy (I think).

Soooo cool. Cool, cool, cool.
Any chance you can swap the speedo over to show off the Tokyo bit on the bars - I'm having a Japanese keirin fetish at the mo' and anything Nippon based is so much cooler than the usual stuff.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

Heh! I can see the "Tokyo" bit perfectly, and the zip-ties are see-through! Actually the whole bike is a mish-mash of nationalities (British crafted frame; US, Italian, Japanese, French, etc. components) but the bars & stem are a match for the Japanese pedals and seat post, with the Dura Ace AX seat post being the only original feature from when I had the bike made for me 27 years ago.0 -

It's a Hewitt originally, 631. This bike has honestly resparked my love for riding. I got it repainted and built it up with 9 speed Campag and it's quite simply lovely. The whole cost of everything together is probably about £500-£600 including all the paint and I take great pleasure in spanking all of my mates who have £5k carbon race bikes on it. Specially as the tyres are what most would call 'winter tyres'. 25s too

Negative, Centaur 9s shifters for £40 off eBay, Daytona/Veloce for Front/Rear mech and I think a Centaur chainset.
The bottom bracket cups are Record though!
Don't remember Centaur having the "donought" type paddles with the hole in the middle... need to go back to the catalogue!left the forum March 20230 -
