Last week two of us climbed Semnoz, stage 20 in the forthcoming tour.
When we got to the top the Sky team bus was waiting, not for us but for the team which was doing a reccy on the route. Like typical fanboys we hung around and eventually they appeared.

Nice! Froome was up at the top of Avoriaz, France earlier in the week. It was pretty cool to see the photos as I'll be there in a couple of weeks too...must have overheard my training schedule.0

Waiting at the bus:
The Sky guy who was waiting on the team was a miserable type of git. He was kind enough to top up my bottle with fresh water but when we tried to engage him in some chat he was so gruff and refused to relax. He looked like an ex-rider.0 -
And how was the Semnoz, given that lots of us will be climbing it in 3 weeks time....?!0

It was challenging. I am not the fastest climber perhaps better re-phrased to I may be the slowest climber but I still enjoyed it. The descent is great and the views magnificent.
This was our route:

The ascent road condition is much better than the descent so be careful.0 -
