Upgrading from sora to tiagra/105

I guess it depends on the version and condition of the Sora groupset and what frameset you plan to put it on.

Its on a brand new frame ( warranty replacment)... Giant defy 1

Its my commute...recently bought new wheels .. Shimano r500's. didnt want to spend too much on a commute bike

Ive got 105 on my good bike, i cert notice the difference

As you have Sora and 105 you are probably better placed than us to decide whether it is worth it.

Personally I wouldn't think Sora to Tiagra is worthwhile.

I paid £380 just before Xmas for the full 105 groupset from Merlin Cycles.

My Boardman came with Sora and I've put tiagra shifters on and 105 rear mech. Hated the Sora shifters! Shifting is noticeable smoother now
