XL head? What helmet do you run?

I'm looking for helmet advice from anyone who knows they have a big or irregularly shaped head.
Obviously the only way to truly know is to keep trying on till you find what fits, but I'd like to get some ideas from people who have have trouble finding one big enough.
My head's about 61cm around measured just above ears and eyebrows, so theoretically perfect for most Large helmets, but as it goes up towards the crown it gets very wide, I can only describe it as an upside-down triangle shape which is a nightmare for helmets.
I've tried on a Large Specialized S3 and lower end Specialized models, but they sit way too high and just perch on top with no coverage on the sides.
From looking online, the Kask K10 seems to look the most 'round' inside, compared to narrower Spesh helmet. Other brands like Giro seem to be more rounded, while Specialized have a more flat top to them.
Cheers!

Giro or Bell for big heads. Bell are a bit more rounded, giro a bit more elongated. They re both essentially the same company.
Oh and both are sold by Halfords so you can go in there and get a feel for fit, even if you then buy online. One shop where I wouldnt feel any guilt about doing that.....We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

Giro, simple as that. I know 'cause I've got a mahoosive swede too and I'm limited to GiroScience adjusts it’s beliefs based on what’s observed.

I have a Giro Savant XL, it says 59-63cm on the sticker. I've always had a hunch that my head might be slightly oversized, although I haven't had it officially confirmed, and it fits just fine.0

My heeds officially massive (it has satellites!) and Giro Aeon is a good fit Kask Mojito was too small for me - but sound like yours is more a shape than size issue (no offence meant) as 61cm diameter is in range for most XLs. I spent ages in Edin Byc Co-op trying stuff on but didn't really like any so ordered Kask and Giro from Wiggle and sent the Kask back.0

61cm big heed here too, I have a kask mojito large, tried a few specialized and giros but to me the mask was best fit and looks alright (not too mushroomy) also like the retaining system and works well with Oakley glasses.2016 diamondback heist 2.0

I've ordered a Lazer Helium Magneto from Wiggle, the Extra-Large option swayed me in the end considering my dome definitely has it's own gravity field.
If it's no good I'll get a Giro and a Kask sent and see what's what. Cheers lads!0 -
I'm 59cm with a very round shape. Tried quite a few but couldn't find any that I was happy with.
I've never worn a helmet but have been trying to train myself to wear one as much as possible for the last few months because I think I should.
I don't care how they look, I just hate the feeling of it being there, so weight and fit were my priority. I eventually tried and bought the boardman carbon from Halfords.
It fits perfectly and is definitely the most comfortable and I'm very happy with the purchase.0 -
+1 for the Boardman helmet.
I have a cranium worthy of its own solar system but the Boardman worked for me.0 -
