apologies in advance if this has been asked before elsewhere.
have the opportunity to purchase new road bike through C2W scheme, can only use at Evans though.
looking to spend about 1k, maybe +10/15% if its significantly worth it.
I'd have liked a giant defy (0 or 1) but Evans don't do them
seen the Scott speedster 20 (which has good reviews) or CAAD8 105.
what about the new Hoy range?
any thoughts/suggestions gratefully received!

I've got the BMC Streetfire from a few years ago (now called the Streetracer) and it's a great bike. Very stiff and fast, albeit quite a harsh ride as it comes from the shop (but changing the bar tape, and adding a carbon seat post has dramatically improved that). I'd certainly recommend it. They used to come in at just under the £1000 mark and would be worth a look. The styling is a bit marmite, but personally I love the look of it.
The aluminium Trek Domane or Madone 2.1?0 -
Bianchi C2C xenon is 950. I got one in 2008 from Evans and still love it. Everyone thinks it's a 2k bike. The xenon one is in the celeste colour which some hate but most love. When I bought it I test rode trek, specialized and giant and they are all ok at that price I just liked the bianchi styling best.0

At that price range cannondale and boardman won't go far wrong.
I really do like the look of the Hoy range but I'm yet to read any reviews. I can't see how they would be a bad bike though.Wilier Cento Uno SR 2013 in Fluro Yellow
