I am after a Gilet to wear on cold summer mornings that if needed I can roll up and stuff into my jersey. Has anyone got any recommendations? Budget of up to £50

I picked up a specialised Gilet for £27, bargain and they really are a versatile bit of kit. Get loads of wear out of it.0

Where did you get it from please MrBrightside?0

Have you considered a Craft mesh base layer? I really don't find my core getting cold, only tends to be my hands. A lot of riders on my club ride today setting off at 9am had gilets on and were soon stripping them off, me on the other hand was fine with no messing about!Trainer Road Blog: https://hitthesweetspot.home.blog/

I have a Mavic Espoir and I'm pleased with it. Lightweight, packable, windproof and has a zipped rear pocket. Does exactly what I need it to.“Training is like fighting with a gorilla. You don’t stop when you’re tired. You stop when the gorilla is tired.”0

This. I've got the Countdown gilet and its great. Windstopper front, mesh back and clever slots in the back to let you get to your jersey pockets when you are riding. Packs reasonably small as well.Titus Silk Road Ti rigid 29er - Scott Solace 10 disc - Kinesis Crosslight Pro6 disc - Scott CR1 SL - Pinnacle Arkose X 650b - Pinnacle Arkose singlespeed - Specialized Singlecross...& an Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 4 string...0 -
