I didn't get on too well with my Devinci, and I found this frame super cheap on Pinkbike, so you can guess what happened next!...

Yep! Got the shock for £100 as well and that was pretty much it.
Yeah I'm pretty tall - it's a large.0 -

White forks don't go, but at that price I doubt you care!0 -

I had one of these for a year, nice ride but after the third broken bottom linkage I gave up.
How does it ride with an air shock, I could never get my DHX 4 coil to work right on it.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
Well I'm currently in the alps, broke the bottom link on the fourth day, FML. It's currently in the shop waiting for a new one to turn up.
And it rides really well. Love it.0 -
Bugger, how long we're you going for?Cube Analog 2012 with various upgrades.0

two weeks, i've missed half the riding. Last day is tomorrow and it's still not sorted.0
-
Ah how unlucky! Were you out there specifically for riding?
Rockmonkey please resist.0 -

That sucks!! You really don't have much luck with bikes do you?! :shock:0
-
Apparently not.
This is the least of my worries right now though, unfortunately...0 -
Might sound like a strange question but were you climbing when it broke? Two of mine broke while climbing. The compressive load on it from the chain breaks it where the cut out for the ISCG tab is. It took 2-3 weeks to get a new linkage, Giant UK don't stock them so you have to wait for them to get one from Holland. Not cheap at £120ish for a little lump of aluminium and a few bearings.
It is a great ride though.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
Nope, did no climbing at all - it was coming down a steep rooty run in chatel.
The shop that stocks Giants in Les Gets managed to get a new link under warranty for me, said it would be there by monday but i'm still waiting and i'm leaving on friday. Might just ask them to post it for me. If not, I can get an old reign link for about £60 - I've heard that if you fit an old link and chop one of the ISCG tabs off then it works fine and doesn't snap - which I'm more than happy to do given the peanuts I paid for the frame and how well it rides.0 -
Took some slightly better photos of this, thought I'd share.

De-stickered the rims, they were getting a bit messy.
Think I'm going to send the forks off for a service later this week too, they're not at all well...

I got some new bits on the reign - bit the bullet and ordered a reverb, I also crashed last week and bent my superstar bars, so I've got some new Renthals, and I've had the fork serviced. Took some semi-okay photos earlier.

You have very wonky horizons where you live...0

Haha, I was hoping nobody would notice my shocking camera skills.0

Post removed, please don't publish peoples details of where they live, all that you are then asking for is someone to break into their home and steal their bikes.0

No, I've been to Bangor. If you'd said Kendal, maybe.0 -

Seriously?? Lots of photos of a nice expensive bike, and you're posting photos of where you think he lives, complete with the street name? I'd be pretty pissed off if you did that to me.0 -

Anyone who wants to steal it could use Google just the same as he did.0 -
