Hello All,
Last year i purchased a Giant Defy 5 as an entry level road bike, since then i have gotten into cycling loads and am now looking to start racing next season. I also have a BH R1. I want to upgrade the wheels on the Giant to something lighter. The current rims are Giant S-R2, i have a max of £200 to spend.
Any advice or help please?
PS this cycling lark is not cheap!

I'd wait and now having taken the plunge after deliberating over wheels go for a slightly more expensive set of Fulcrum Racing 3's (circa £330).0

I might leave it till off season and save up for the ones you have suggested, being a complete novice .....will i require a new cassette, hubs and a qr skewer etc? I want to keep the others complete as spares.

Mavic Aksium wheels transformed my cheap and cheerful 10 year old spec allez for about £100 2nd hand, you'll need a tool and chain whip to remove the cassette, possibly a spacer too if they don't come with one but I got one for £3 from the local bike shop.0
