Anyone know if the outer cable that CRC sell per metre is cut per meter or sent in a full length?

ie, if I bought 4 metres, would it be 4 individual meters or 1 long length?

LBS is charging pretty much £5 per meter!!

Or is there anywhere else cheaper?

I might actually just buy 30m of clarks gear cable for £25 and keep it.

I bought 5m of SP41 from CRC and specified I wanted one single run. It came in 5 bits but all were between 2 and 2.5m, about 13m in total so win win. Kept me going for a few years so far, not bad for a tenner.
But being CRC they will probably be a bit random.
Worst comes to worst you can always send it back free if they cock it up the wrong way.

  • Went for 30m lol.

Need to be able to run a full outer and the routing is all over the place on the spesh.
Plus, I should be able to do the other bike and then flog the remainder to mates for cheap.. 30m was only £9 more than 4m!

I wonder why cock it up turns into cock it up. How would we ever manage a thread on cocks and hens?

I thought that too in the words that are rude but not thread. I came to the conclusion this is not farmers weekly online, so they were probably correct to write it into their system
