Can anyone tell me what the differences are with these 2 frames?

Also i'm 173cm (5ft 8.5in) and currently ride a 53cm (medium) Boardman Team Carbon, i feel its slightly too big (not that much seat post showing, reduced the stem to 100mm from stock 110mm) so could well have fit a small fine and increased the stem 10-20mm.
My inseam is circa 31" - 31.5".
Cheers, Stu

I have a CR1 SL - its got a longer headtube for a more upright position, and the SDS seatstays that are supposed to provide some form of cushioning, although I'm beggered if I notice any difference to other bikes I've ridden! My SL has the higher spec carbon which wasnt standard on most of the CR1 and Addict frames at that time - supposed to be a touch lighter as well.

There are probably more subtle tube length difference if you compare specs on the Scott website, but essentially the CR1 is designed as a more comfortable bike while the Addict is meant as a race machine bred for speed.

    I'm a standard 5' 11.5" and ride a 56 if that helps...

I'm 5' 7.5in so you have a longer inside measure than me and my Boardman Team (2009) 53cm (M) is a great fit. Have you got your seat height correct , I do have long arms though !
The only thing I did was flip the stem to shorten and raise the steerer half an inch for a more comfortable position for sportive riding.

My mate pob your height has a Scott foil 56cm which I can still ride comfortably once seated on ( admittedly it is too high) so I'd say they are on the Scott's are on the small side. My trek is a 54cm and measures pretty much identical saddle nose to steerer as my Boardman

Thanks, as it stands my Boardman fits well and the seat height is spot on, would just like more seatpost showing being picky and the seat is all the way forward (stock 25mm set back post, Fizik Arione saddle).

Looks like i'm in the middle of the sizing according to the chart, top end small, bottom end medium.

Think i'll leave it, i guess some frames arent for everyone size wise.
