I am wanting to set my ultegra wheels up tubeless,I am running Conti gator skin tyres, when i tried this the other day with one cup of stans fluid in them i could not get them to seal, asking if there is any better tyres to use or if it is not worth doing and just run tubes, the reason for doing it is to stop pinch flats

Are the Gatorskin tyres tubeless compatible? Not so sure they are.

You have to use road tubeless tyres, using anything else is absolute madness.

as to why am I getting pinch flats I'm not the lightest at 14st,and have always put it down to that, run pressure at 120psi,i understand the ust tires on mtb's as i run them myself,I should put another thread up for a good ust type tire for road bikes,as no one seems to list them at online shops

I'm 14.5st and run my tyres at 100psi, the only pinch flat I've had in the last couple of years was when I hit a 3" deep pothole at speed (I thought it was just a small puddle at the time :p ). Unless you have really shocking roads around you you shouldn't be pinch flatting as much as you are, that said going tubeless makes sense but as has been said you HAVE to use tubeless ready tyres, you can't ghetto it on the road due to the pressures involved (OK you can but you're putting yourself in danger every time you ride). Personally I'm going to try the new Schwalbe Ultremo tubeless tyres but can't recommend them as yet.
