shadow4532 is right.
It happened to me. I tried GT85, penetrating oil and heating up the frame and nothing worked. Tried pulling/twisting the seatpost in the warm frame and the carbon just tore which made removal more difficult. I ended up using a pair of plumbers grips to pull it out in lots of small shards.
Hacksaw it off, hacksaw down the inside to cut through the walls of the seatpost then pull it out in a few large pieces. Fewer carbon fibres in the air to breathe in if you can get it out in big lumps :oops:0 -
its not always impossible! Ive recently got a stuck one out so its worth a go! lots of penetrating fluid twisting wacking, pulling hitting and lots and lots of swearing but eventually it came out, they don't always do it but its gotta be worth trying! its a subject that's been covered before so do a search for previous threads0

I had nearly the same issue a few years ago (carbon wrapped seatpost in an aluminium frame). I tried everything, and wasn't confident enough with a hacksaw blade to go down that route without trashing the frame.
I took it down a local engineering shop who gave the seatpost-less frame back to me a couple of days later in exchange for £20. Happy days!0 -
Thanks for the replies. Will give the penetrating oil a go.0
