A mate is selling a bike - steel Peugeot Professionnel 531, full Record 10 spd square taper era (little use), Kayrium Elites (Little use). I wouldn't mind the wheels off him but I'm wondering if it's worth buying the whole bike and flogging the groupset and frame. There are a fe other bits on it like carbon record cages and the stem and bars that I'd probably use too.

Does this era Record have much used value or is everyone after 11 spd new style bottom bracket now? It's all good nick, carbon chainset, etc

it's a hard life if you don't weaken.

If it's good nick, you'll find a buyer. I take it it's Record alloy chainset?

Consider keeping it... record 10 was a better groupset than the current one... selling it won't be hard

Doubt it, seeing as he said 'carbon chainset'

So the consensus is £800 would be worth paying? The frame itself is too small for me so that would have to go. I'm estimating the wheels are worth a couple of hundred to me, could probably get a hundred plus for the frameset as it's in good condition so groupset, decent alloy bars, stem and post, carbon record cages and a good slr gel saddle £500 together.
