I'm going to fit mudguards on this bike and I'd like some advice on what mudguards to get.

I'm looking at these and I wonder what you think, maybe someone can suggest another that won't brake the bank.

Thanks

  • I've Chromoplastics on my 531 framed Viking. Easy to fit, even for someone with two left hands like me, and they're great 'guards. Full coverage and very robust.

I've just fitted a set of those on my Racelight Tk. Very tidy, and no rattles at all so far!

I've got SKS Chromoplastics on my 531 Pro Condor, they are great guards but a real bugger to fit I found. Once fitted though they're great.

I urge you not to clutter your frame with pointless plastic mudguards... we both know you have enough time to clean and service your bike at please

I know, for many years I have managed without any mudguards but when riding in a group the people behind don't appreciate me riding without mudguards in wet conditions. But not to worry, I still have 4 bikes without any mudguards :D

To the other people that commented, my thanks for your comments. A set is on its way now which I'll fit at the weekend.
