What grease would anyone recommend for ceramic wheel bearings on my Fulcrum racing zero hubs? General shimano grease or something more specialised?

Cheers

CULT bearings either require the lightest possible lubricant or none at all. Sewing machine oil does the job - and you only need a tiny drop. Adding grease will just defeat the purpose of having ceramic bearings.

They looked very much like this when I opened them up:

Do you think they have been over greased by this person after being cleaned up:

I'm getting CULT and USB mixed up. CULT ceramic bearings are in Super Record and USB are in Campagnolo/Fulcrum hubs. But I still think it's the same deal, only use a tiny amount of super thin oil, not grease.

It's a nice amount of grease if you want to keep the water out, but the whole point of USB bearings is that they roll smoother. Using that much grease defeats the point of paying for the better quality bearings.

Just a light film of grease (if these are your summer wheels) will do. You could also try a little grease mixed with some wet lube. Gets a lovely consistency.
