First post here, and I appreciate Halfords haven't got the best name, but I'm keen to buy a Boardman Road team carbon as my first road bike. Trouble is, having been to two halfords (Nuneaton and Tamworth), the staff are clueless. I need help with fitting etc etc but they don't seem to have a clue. DOes anybody know of a Halfords sotre where there's staff who know a pushbike from a pogo-stick?

Unless you are a particularly unusual shape, go with one of the many size guides on the internet.

It's going to be miles away, but I know coridori in Epsom (surrey) stock the higher end boardmans and they're a great shop.

What bike / size are you currently on?
  • I'm not currently on a road bike. I have a hardtail MTB I have sort of converted into a commuter bike. I'm 6' 4", 18 stone, if that helps.

I've found this pretty good http://www.evanscycles.com/help/bike-sizing#road
I'd take a guess at a 62cm, but as ever it varies.

(Just noticed the Boardman doesn't get anywhere near that)

I am 5 9/10 ish and I have a medium on the Hybrid Pro. I suspect an XL will suit

Not a massive fan of Halfords myself ... But ... Had a nose in the one at Rugby recently and the guy in there seemed decent enough? Not that far from ya?
Still thinking of something clever to say!
