Which chain? Which front 52 / 42 will suffice?

Hi.
I need a chain for a road bike / Trek 1.2 (?)
All the chain says is KMC Z Narrow.
It's for an 8 speed triple.

I also need a new outer 52
I also need an inner 42 - although can I fit a lesser number as a 40 might be better?

The spider (?) is a 5, saying Shimano SG A52.

I have tried typing these into CR and Wiggle and don't get much joy.
It has only to last a couple of months at most.

All links / suggestions / work-arounds welcomed

    any 8 speed chain

    prob cheaper/easier to buy a new chainset
