Hi guys girls, having an issue with the drop outs on my bike! I've bent a Planet X qr clamping it on and it still slips under acceleration... Surly do the tug nut but looking at the pics it's for rear facing drops where mine are front facing..

Has any body had this problem and what has been their solution?? I've read a few comments on the net about over tighten qr but it hasn't worked for me...

If it helps my hubs are Hope Pro 3s

Cheers and thanks for any answers that come

You need to get a proper QR with an internal cam... get a Shimano one and you won't have any more problems. I think Planet X sell some spare Shimano QR, any will do, you don't need to go all fancy with the ultegra ones, they are just as good as the bottom range

UGO's right. This is a common post on this forum and it's the same old problem. Sounds like your Planet X QR is to blame. I believe your bike has horizontal dropouts. Your QR may be light and look flash but it's the inferior exposed cam design which simply cannot clamp tight enough for horizontal dropouts. The result is the wheel pulls over under acceleration. The answer is simple: Buy a Shimano or Campag all-metal enclosed QR. They are much more reliable and clamp considerably tighter than the exposed plastic or nylon cam "boutique" quick releases. Only Shimano, Campag and, I think, some Mavics use the superior design so don't be tempted by something like a Hope QR if you want to avoid this problem.
