Advice for a beginner

Hi all,
I am purchasing my first mountain bike this weekend I have searched the web for a week or so now.

I have 2 in mind the voodoo Bantu and the carrera kracken.
Does anyone own one and have advice?
Overall I would like to know which would be the better purchase?

As i've just said in your other post , you need to test ride them to decide ..

Yeah I understand just was seeing if anyone had first hand experience of either or both.. Or even had any idea which spec is better as I know nothing at all about MTB

out of the two id get the voodoo. but to be fair both are good and fairly similar and you wont be dissapointed. if you can bump up your buget to 500 the voodoo hoodoo and the rockrider 8.1 from decathalon are said to be the best bikes you can get for less than 500.
