Cycling & Ankalosing Spondylitis

I have Ankalosing spondylitis (AS) - a type of chronic (long-term) arthritis that affects parts of the spine, including bones, muscles and ligaments. I count myself lucky as some people can end up doubled up with restricted mobility, but i can get around and work full time. Keeping active helps so I am cycling a fair bit and now using a road bike - Trek 1.5.
I am interested in anyone else on here who may have AS or knows a mate who has it and cycles. Just looking for riding tips, seating position, etc that may help as neck aches after about 15 miles. I am a 'young 56' and cycling is my escape ...and want to keep doing it, keep fit and keep this sodding AS at bay! Thanks.
