I am a light weight at 57kg, so I don't need to worry about strength. I just want the best/lightest wheels for my budget.

The wheels should be good for climbing.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

At 57kg you shouldn't need any help up the hills...

For 300 quid you can get a good lightweight rear hub.

Pair these wheels with a pair of Hutchinson Atom Galactik tubeless tyres and the whole lot will come in at sub 1900 grams, wheels alone are 1350 grams !!!!!

200 grams heavier than the wheels I mention, I know they are stronger but at 57k (the weight of a large rabbit) the extra strength wouldn't be needed.

Hell at 57 kg you can have silly light. There is a build I do for light riders that weighs in at 1350g and costs less than £300. I use them weekly and I over 20kg heavier and they have not failed me yet. If they work for me I am certain they will work well for you. You will have to spend more tha £300 to get a wheel from the usual suspects at that weight.

This is not a winter wheelset though and it ses the Kinlin XR-200 rim, Novatec hubs Sapim Laser spokes and alloy nipples. The spoke count is 28F 2x and 28R 2x. The rims themselves are very round and built to tight tollerances with even tesnion, good low cost rims.

Slight curveball, but the SwissSide Franc wheelset is currently reduced to €359 (about £300) for this week only. Claimed 1500g total weight. http://www.swissside.com/shop/franc-wheelset You even get a nice wheelbag and spare spokes in with that.

I have the cheaper St Bernhard and am very pleased - still running perfectly true despite a few kerb bumps on my commute and potholes you could hide a bike in along most of my routes. Survived a rabbit attack last week too.
They've got write ups of a riders using the Francs on the 3 peaks cyclocrosss (http://www.swissside.com/103) and Ronde van Vlaanderen (http://www.swissside.com/211) so they're clearly not fragile.

They're not actually swiss-made, but the designers are based in Switzerland.
