Well this build has taken a back seat due to the build of my Lurcher race bike, (viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=12929237)
but as that nears completion ive began ordering up parts for the Inbred...saddle and SS kit are here and a set of Hope X2 brakes on the way...not focusing on anything bling or ultra lightweight as itll be a trainer/hack bike...0 -
some other parts for the inbred...
Hope x2's
niner carbon bars 710mm
70mm stem nowt fancy
also ordered up a set of Crossride 29er wheels from lbs...should be here monday0 -
Cut the steerer down and left enough room to play around with, trial fitted the bars and stem

Single crank fitted
picked up a SS specific chain and some 29er tubes from On-one also the chain was only £4.99!0 -
Brakes on, need a front adapter as the mounts supplied are for post...still awaiting wheels and the other stuff.0 -
Looking good. Loving the colour. Have an Inbred 26" myself. Not as cool I know but love it nonetheless!0

been on holiday so only got round to picking the wheels up today

cant fit the front wheel as the rims arrived with only one skewer and one 12mm to 9.5mm reducer for the hub... :evil:0 -
took a few more links out the chain, looked a bit long hoping to get tyres this week and hope mavic send the missing parts for the front wheel to the lbs then i can actually get it out for a spin!0

I'd shorten the chain a bit, get some more wrap around the rear sprocket.
Nice colour..0 -
Yea already done just that0

Got the short maiden voyage in yesterday while i was over at Wheelcraft having the carbon rims for the Lurcher built by Big Al viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=12929237&start=100 ...the inbred was great & felt perfect....not the flattest terrain in the campsie hills but some epic trails all the same!

Great looking bike, and I love the colour!
I've just sold my Inbred frame because I wasn't sure i'd ever actually get it built. Kind of wish I hadn't now...0 -
cheers!
had to file most of the black part of the tensioner (that the skewer sits in) away to fit the frame better as it was forcing everything offline.....fitted a wider roller and so far it seems ok.... for now..0
