I'm thinking of buying one of these on C2W

I know it's not that well specced but single speed rigid 29ers seem to be a bit expensive and to be hones I would rather have a rigid fork than a un-damped suspension fork. The Charge probably has the better frame.
Allowing an extra £70 for a set of Deore brakes is there anything better for the money?
I would like to keep it around £600 and I want it to be worth upgrading in the future
