I've been using a pretty cheap ebay special track pump for a few years. It does get up to high Psi's but have a lot of trouble with some presta valves as the plastic head on the pump doesn't stay on and I end up trying to keep it pressed down with one hand while pumoing with the free hand - not the best situation.
I take it that the track pump is knackered and any recommendations on another. Less than £30 would be the budget

If you can stretch just over £30 you can pick up a Lezyne Sport Floor Drive, get good reviews.

Topeak heads are great. You can buy them as an attachment for any pump if the rest of the pump is OK.

Looking at the cheapo track pump I have (ebay special) I don't think its worth spending money on parts.
Picked up a Top Peak Joe Blow HP for £25. That should do me for a few years now.
