Ok, looking to get some nice new shoes for the summer on the road, as old shimanos are looking a little tatty after two winters heavy use.

Set myself a budget of £150, and am obviously going to try them on and see but just came here to ask -

What's the best bang for my buck I can get for £150?

I do like SIDI but do they accomodate for wider feet? I read they are much more a narrower fitting shoe...

Mine are fine, never noticed a problem. Not got particularly wide feet though. Plenty of room around the toes so I don't get numbness.

Sidi are great shoes - well made and generally durable for all year round use.

As an alternative, I reckon these are a bit of a steal - they are also offering last year's S-Works in limited sizes at discounted price, but I think they are more of sunny summer day only design!

  • Another vote for sidi. I do like the new range of fizik shoes too. Quite understated, which sidi aren't.
Wilier Cento Uno SR 2013 in Fluro Yellow
    Cannondale Caad10 2014 in BLACK!!
  • Anything as long as they are black. Wiggle doing Ergo 3's for £219
I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles

Sidi have a 'Mega' designation which is their wide fitting option.

People are gonna start saying I'm a specialized rep on here...but I would not look past the Specialized BG shoes. S-Works (2012 at your budget), Pro or Expert. They have piled time and resources into designing their BG (body geometry) range of clothes, shoes and saddles and they are fantastic. I have a set of 2012 S-Works shoes and will never buy anything else, light, stiff and very comfortable. They have excellent arch support and are designed to reduce the risk of knee pain. If you can get to a shop and try them you won't take long to make the decision. Oh, the "boa" fastening devices are great for ease of use and adjustments on the move.
