Tiagra/ Ultegra components

Hi, does anyone know if Tiagra shifters are fully compatible with Ultegra Rear Derailleur and Ultegra Brake calipers?
and if performance will be any better if I were to upgrade from Tiagra derailleur and brakes.

If it's all the latest 10 speed then it will all work together.

You won't really see much difference in performance as the latest Tiagra kit is really good but the Ultegra is lighter (I have Tiagra on one bike and Ultegra on t'other).

The Ultegra is slightly smoother in shifting so to upgrade the Tiagra I would probably look for a 105 cassette (which is almost identical to the Ultegra).

To upgrade the breaking performance you'd probably be better off getting some good break pads (although I have no issues with those supplied with the Tiagra.
