cassette and chain wear

should i use more then 1 chain to make rear cassette last longer, like 1 chain for 3 months then another chain for 3months until they are both worn.

    Most people would probably say rotate 3 chains. But it isn't really time based - more like mileage. If you do low miles (and only in dry weather) then it might take years for you to wear out a cassette. Ride through the winter snows and neglect the cleaning and you could trash a cassette in weeks!
    Faster than a tent.......
