i already own a trek 1.5 so would buying a willier izoard xp 2012 carbon for about £1500, be a big difference to the trek 1.5.

It may have a different feel to the ride, better or worse feel will be a personal thing, but it won't go any faster.

But if you fancy a nice, shiny new carbon bike then go for it.
