But the Giant has a Shimano Integrated Press Fit BB. Is this an issue???

Or do you know of a better bike for £1500

Both are very competant bikes. The uspension is a little different - the Maestro system has less bob, but a little more pedal feedback, while the Canyon will feel more active. Just preference really, both do a good job overall.

Spec wise there is little in it, but the Canyon is just infront. The fork is superior as the Float RL has little adjustment, the wheels are a touch lighter and the crankset being XT is on paper, ahead.

Very close to call on paper.

Bit more travel front and rear with the giant, slightly better spec with the canyon.

Loads of satisfied customers for both bikes. You won't go wrong with either one
    Too-ra-loo-ra, too-ra-loo-rye, aye

    Giant Trance
    Radon ZR 27.5 Race
    Btwin Alur700
    Merida CX500

I'm sure the Canyon is very good and it is better specced but I would go for the Trance. I owned one for a couple years and they ride extremely well. Climbs great and for a short travel XC bike they respond extremely well to very hard riding. Indestructible frame as well.
