Hi All,

I'm about to purchase a pair of Sidi Wire road shoes however, have found different sites suggesting that the standard Shimano cleat bolts are not long enough and end up stripping the thread on the shoes. :?

Anyone have advice on this as I do not want to trash a pair of £300+ shoes before I've even used them?

Thanks in advance,

Mick

I've never used owt else than the supplied shimano ones...

Though have seen it "advised" you should use sidi ones.... Not sure if it is to get more cash of you, or true!
  • Cheers for the reply mate. I'll just have to see if they fit ok when they arrive then.

I have a couple of pairs of the Wires and wasn't even aware there may be an issue with Shimano bolts ! Have fitted the Shimano bolt and cleats with no obvious problems to both pairs.
  • That's the answer I was hoping for. Thanks mate.
