I need a new headset to fit a 2009 Giant XTC.

Nothing fancy and nice and cheap. It's an integrated 1 1/8" headset.
Would this one fit? http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... delID=6183

Not got it with me. Is there more than one size for integrated head sets?Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Yes.....and there is also semi integrated which is a totally different standard is also sometimes called integrated.
That picture (and the age) suggests (but no more) a semi integrated which that link to CRC is not.

Maybe I will just take it to my friendly local shop and get them to press something in.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

I'd guess at an integral (also called, semi-integrated, or zero stack) - they're more common. That's 44mm I.D. In which case, something like http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=39377
If it's 41mm, it's an integrated, and the one you've linked is gravy0 -
