Quick valve core question
I'm using valve extenders at the moment, the ones where you remove the core and re-insert it at the top of the extender.
I've had a problem with the rear wheel deflating because the valve core has come loose.
Do you use anything to get a tighter seal when screwing in the core or just use a bit more force?

Can't see any harm in using a bit of threadlock (not the permanent sort).Yellow is the new Black.0

usually ptfe tape will help, but ideally use a tiny spanner to tighten the core back in.0

I just use a small adjustable spanner to tighten my Conti valve cores. Well I do now, after having to abandon a ride due to a constantly deflating rear tube. It was snowing and I was frozen, so CBA to swap tubes, just pumped it up again and fled home the shortest route.0

i just do cores and extenders up tight, a metal core tool makes it easier, the plastic ones can bend/slip, or use pliers
even with regular use of a screw-on pump head (lezyne one) they stay put
i've not needed ptfe tape with conti cores/extenders, they have sealing rings, but i once had some others, mavic i think, and they were really leaky unless tape was used, i ditched them in the endmy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0
