Choice between 1.5 forks

Hi there

A while ago I got some great advice on this forum regarding forks for my cannondale with a 1.5 headtube (trail SL)

basically the consensus was get a headset reducer and fit what you want. However my funds dried up for a while but luckily I'm now in a position to revisit it.

On CRC I spotted a few forks at decent prices with 1.5 steerers (which would save me the money on a headset) and was wondering if anyone had advice or experience.

I'll be riding exclusively off-road mostly berkshire downs so up and down trails. I also like to hit the odd small jump or drop so don't want anything too flimsy!

What do you think splash out on the reba or is that recon price not to be missed? Maybe the Sektor with its greater travel will be more fun for the drops and jumps?

Reba all the way. Lightest, more adjustable - the best fork here.

Cheers for the opinion - is the REBA really £100 better than that RECON solo air though? It just seems an amazing price...

Also as someone who doesn't like to fiddle around with settings too much will the duel air be a bit of a head ache or is it very intuitive? I've only ridden coil forks up till now.

I have had issues with both sets of dual air rockshox forks I have had loosing negative air. It's not regular but maybe two or three times a year on my Pikes and Revs. They usually just need a strip and clean but it's a good hour and a half job. They are great when they work though.

If it was the Recon Gold. I might agree, but the Recon Silver are much heavier too

am I better off with the duel air 2011 Reba or for £30 more the 2013 Reba solo-air which appears to be tapered 1.5...

I prefer the Dual Air - a bit moer adjustable, but takes a bit longer to set up.
