Torque Wrench
Hi
Now "despite" being a woman, I am lookin to get bit more hands on with my bike.
I have just ordered the Zen book of road bike maintenance, but I will need a torque wrench.
Nor from what I can see this seems a good deal
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/380551716177? ... 1423.l2649
As it looks identical to the Pedros one:
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=26733
Will this be ok? I already have a ritchley torque key (5nm) but from what I can see everything on my bike is 6nm+?
Don't want to waste my money  Thanks

That looks like the BBB one I got from Ribble. Doesn't show the case in the photo but it's also the same. Really great tool.

I don't have experience of the Pedro's ones, but I can tell you that the BBB one is very good.

These both look like you'd need to buy the bits in addition, the BBB is excellent and comes boxed with the bits.0 -
Just out of interest, does anyone compare their torque wrench against other ones for consistency/accuracy?Is the gorilla tired yet?0

yep, i check mine (sealey stw1012) against a calibrated one at work, it's stayed within 0.5Nm for over 2 years nowmy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0

That original torque wrench on eBay looks like it starts a little on the high side at 6-30nm. This isn't going to help you much with the many 4-5nm bolts on a bike.
I'd first look for something that starts lower. I'd also get a wrench that comes with a calibration certificate.
To add to the list of "recommended" wrenches above, I have this one and find it does the job well: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Norbar-TruTorque-certificate-calibration-England/dp/B002BIPF6I0 -
Which is easier to get 'bits' for; 3/8"-drive or 1/4/"-drive ?0

Sealey for me too No point buying a torque wrench if its no calibrated IMHO
