Hey guys I am in a dilemma.
I have an offer from a friend to buy the shimano ultegra di2 test bike for 1800 euros.
What's your opinion? Is it worth it?

Who knows what its worth you have only told us what the gear components are not what the bike is.
Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.

I haven't see the bike from close but from the pic i can say :
    Frame, fork- carbon
    Wheel's - shimano rs30
Seat post, handlebar - pro xlt
    Tyres - Michelin race pro3
    Saddle - pro

It's the official shimano ultegra di2 test bike (green colour) if you google you will find it

Think that clarifies the bike then, can't recall the make/model they used but sure someone will jump in with the answers soon.

If it fits you and you like it for that sort of money if you REALLY want Di2 then seems a reasonable price if in euros.

    Good luck

I'm not sure it is a tcr as it doesn't have a vector seat post and the rear brake bridge isn't solid, but the forks look like the tcr's
Wheelbase at stavely had one I'd seen and vagely remember pro lite in big letters on it.

The bike which the OP has posted however is definitely not a TCR.

But i really dunno what this is

my problem is i dont know what to do....
from my side the props is :

-hi tech equipment except the wheels
    -good price

    but the cons:

-probably it would be heavy used because it was a test bike(so i cant know what it was been through)
-and i cant remove the SHIMANO ULTEGRA DI2 stickers from it and im not sure how nice it would be to own this kind of bike.....it looks a bit ridiculous
but i believe that if i ''press'' the owner i can get it even less money....

    so what you suggest?
better keep my money and buy something similar and new?
or this is a hot deal that should not been lost????

What he said. And you would look a tool on it as everybody has seen them in the shops and it will look your constantly on a test ride. Not good value particularly?

    Thanks guys for the advises.

Finally i bought the bike.I make a good deal and i bought it for 1480 euros without wheels.
    Di2 shifting is unbelievable... :-)
  • Have anyone asked Shimano about the manufacturer of the frame? I think it's a Cannondale Super Six 3.

It's different for every country. In greece shimano give order to the Greek factory "ideal bikes" to fix 8 bikes with good gear and full ultegra di2 for promotion use.
The frame is from the bike "ideal stage team".
Trust me I make a big research.!
  • After some reserch I've found that the frame used by Ideal Stage Team is actually manufactured (hand built) by BEV Intl in Taiwan and the design is their model 083. They do custom manufacturing of bike components in carbon for many brands. The same frame is also used by GIOS to build their Team Racer Gress Carbon, Jan Janssen uses it to their Quadra and Pedal Force offers this frame as their CG2 model. Can be more brands as well, please add the information if you know any. The frame is a high modulus carbon monocoque construction has internal cable routing and uses BB30 bottom bracket and the weight is 1,17 kg in 56 cm size.

    Good research buddy
Also i have seen on the net shimano ultegra Di2 test bikes with Giant frames... thats why i assume that in every country there should be different bikes...
Thanks ,my size by the way is 54 cm
If i find anything else i will update...
  • I've asked Shimano Nordic about this bike (as I got hold of one for a very good price used by a Swedish dealer). The bikes with Giant frames was the early ones with a prototype version of DI2. As I understood is all of the later version test bikes in Europe made by Ideal bikes in Greece (not to be mistaken as the lowend manufacturer Ideal bike Europe, Poland). If i got the numbers right 1000 bikes was made in total and 75 was for Sweden (only 8 for Greece), and I don't know the individual numbers for other countries.
