Sram calipers with shimano 105
Im in the market for some new calipers to replace my current tektro ones. Im on a budget andin an ideal world i would want shimano 105 5600 to match my groupset but cheapest i can find them is £60 and i just dont have the money.
So questions is, would sram apex or campagnolo centaur Brakes work effectively with shimano 105 5600 levers ? I kow campag brakes wont have the quick release but does anyone know if the pull ratios would be compatible and if they would work properly ifpaired with shimano ?
I can get the sram for under £30 for a set and the campag for about a fiver more. Domt want to waste my money if they wont work but at half the price of shimano ones im tempted by them.

Bumping this for the op as I have the same question.
Thanks0 -
5600 levers will be ok with sram road brakes
newer shimano components, 5700/6700/7900, have a different pull ratiomy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -
Due to weight, price and colour I put some Rival brakes on a bike kitted with 6700 shifters and there's no difference whatsoever, i think that they've got the same pull ratio as Shimano.
The swissstop pads that you get with the Sram calipers are like cheese though, probably the quickest wearing pads i've ever had.0 -
Cheers fellas, ordered myself the sram and should be with me tomorrow. Are the swissstop pads the normal black pads you would buy or are they a 'special' sram ones which are no doubt cheaper and a different compound ?
Ive actually got a set of green swissstop pads to put straight on but curious about the ones you get0 -
The pads are black but I don't know whether they're standard swissstop black or they're made specifically for SRAM, I've swapped them out for the green pads.0

Cheers bozman, i guessed they wouldnt have been the normal black pads but possibly a cheaper compound made specifically for sram.
Will stick with my green pads.0
