Hi,
Just taken delivery of my early birthday present to myself. Can anyone recommend tyres to go with these wheels - or will any clincher tyre work OK? Also , what is the best self sealing 'gunk' to use in them & do you need a sealant around the rim? There are a few reviews on the web but not about tyres....
Cheers, Mark

If planning to run tubeless, then you are pretty well limited to Hutchinson tyres - the beads on regular tyres aren't strong enough to run tubeless safely. You can still run regular tyres with tubes. As well as tubeless tyres, you'll need to fit suitable rim tape and sealant like Stans.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

I've been running Hutchinson Fusion tubeless tyres for a couple of years now. No rim tape, just Stans sealant. Coat the tyre in soapy water when fitting and it pops onto the Ultegra rims and seals quite nice though needs to be inflated quite vigorously the first time with a track pump to get the tyre to hook onto the rim. Never had a puncture with this set-up. Air loss is minimal.

Thanks - they didn't tell me that in the description when I ordered them! (doesn't say it on the box either) - oh well - excuse for more new kit.
