Need a cheap 9 speed shifter

Hello, I recently upgraded my training bike to nine speed from 7.
All ok, but I cannot find a reasonably priced 9 speed shimano downtube lever. The only option seems to be Dura Ace shifters at about £45.
Any ideas, I only want shimano.

What ideas can there be? You only want Shimano and Shimano only makes Dura Ace at a minimum of £45. Aside from second hand you've ruled out the alternatives of other brands so unless you fancy trying to get Shimano to make you some Tiagra level DT shifters I think you've got the lack of options covered!

Get the dura ace and eat beans for the next month... They are great!

Ordered the Dura ace, at £43.99, they'd better be good.

Could you not have just used the existing shifter and turned it to friction? It doesn't take long to get used to friction rather than SIS.
