Where can I buy a simple brake pad allen bolt?

My front brake pad fell off the other day and despite managing to locate the said pad I'm afraid I lost the allen bolt and washer. I was just wondering if anyone knew of anywhere that sells the bolts seperately because I can't bring myself to buy another set of brake pads just for one lousy bolt.

Anyone?

Have you tried your lbs? They may have a spare that they can "lose".

Other option maybe SJS cycles, or just buy a cheap replacement pad and swap over the bolt.

Unless someone on the forum nearby has a spare they can give you

    Tried that.

I ended up buying a set of crap pads from Decathlon for £4.99.

That's not the LBS he meant (I think).

Try the LBS which has the wiry old guy behind the counter with the overalls and oily hands in the workshop. They tend to keep every nut, bolt and washer and, if you have given them business in the past, will often give away these things.

Decathlon are not LBS they are multi-national chain.

I don't think they matter that much anyway as long as you make sure you put the cartridges in the correct way round! After all, Campag don't use the bolts at all. I went for a while with a missing block screw and it didn't kill me once - if you make sure the missing one is on the back it matters even less.

Bustacapp - you can use the cheap pads on the back. Not much point having expensive pads on the back as you shouldn't be using the back brakes much anyway. If you don't like that approach, you'd have done better to have bought more expensive pads to use when your current ones wear out and to borrow one of the screws from those.

I did try a proper LBS first. I went to Decathlon after the LBS's workshop guy tried to sell me a basic set of brake pads for £8.99 when he knew I only wanted them for an alan bolt.

Needless to say the LBS I went to will not be receiving my custom any time soon (not that it would have done anyway to be quite honest).

I'll just be taking the alan bolt from one of my new pads and stick the old pad back on the bike. Keep the crappy pads for a rainy day.
