Which bont road shoes?

Think I've decided on a set of bonts due to the heat moulding, now I've ruled out the a-three as there's no ratchet strap, so it's down to the a-two vs the vapours. Can anyone give me any feedback on the two of them and if anyone has used both and can compare?
Thanks for any info!
Cheers

I have a pair of A2s. I've not tried Vaypors, but I can't see how they could be any stiffer than the A2s. Great shoes though - took a couple of turns in the oven to get the fit completely right, but they're now probably the most comfortable pair of bike shoes I have ever owned - not to mention the stiffest. My previous pair were Spec BG Pros - still good shoes, but nothing close to the Bonts in terms of performance.

Thanks for the reply, I also currently have spec Sworks so fingers crossed should like the switch! Was there any particular technique you used when moulding the shoe that worked?

Not really, I jut followed the instructions. Heating them can be a bit daunting at first. I found it useful to have an oven thermometer - usually available for about a fiver from your local kitchenware shop - so you can see when the temperature is correct.

The other thing to mention is the significantly lower stack height which the shoes give you. In my case, my saddle had to come down by around 10mm, which meant my bar/stem also had to be lowered - so be prepared to adjust your position a bit, if needs be.

i have the vaypours and havent ridden in them yet. they feel lovely on my feet though. I dont think i moulded them properly as i was worried about putting them in too hot. will be buying an over thermo for it

im coming from sworks as well.

I've just picked up a pair of 2012 A3s that have a ratchet strap fitted from Sigma.

I think the only real difference vs the A2 is 30g extra weight due to no carbon and an extra 0.4mm stack height. They're very stiff, much more so than my S-Works.

Great fit once you get them moulded, but still trying to work out whether there's any significant difference in stack height from the S-Works (which are a great summer shoe, but too well ventilated at the moment!).

I've ordered some a2's from Evans, a 46 and a 47, price matched to £145, so will try both on and decide which is needed!

Great shoes and I cannot imagine how anything could be stiffer as these are rock hard.
