Cheap Spare Wheel for Turbo

Hello,

Apologies if this is a simple question. I still don't understand all the measurements and requirements of bike components and am a little worried about buying the wrong thing.

I have a 2012 Specialized Sirrus (http://www.specializedconceptstore.co.u ... rus/Sirrus) which I use outdoors and on my turbo. I use the turbo 2-3x a week, I enjoy it.

I want a spare wheel to which I can fit my Tacx turbo trainer tyre, so I can swap wheels when I'm in or out rather than change tyres. It will need to take an 8-speed Shimano cassette.

Would either of the following be suitable?

http://www.edinburghbicycle.com/product ... 00c-wheels
http://www.decathlon.co.uk/rear-700c-wh ... 05016.html

It is only for the turbo. But I don't want to get the wrong size for the frame or tyre.

Thanks

Where abouts are you? I've got a couple of rear wheels that you could have for a few beer tokens. One of them probably isn't good enough to use on the road these days but would be fine on a turbo. The other one needs a hub service first but is otherwise sound, the sealing is crap so I just replaced it.

Leeds, so unfortunately not down your way. Looks like I'll get the Decathlon - I've brought from there before and its generally fine stuff for my level.

How's that Verenti? Was reading about them at the weekend.

    No worries.

The verenti is lovely. Not got a huge amount of experience with road bikes but I like it, it was a decent step up from my old alu boardman. Only cost £800 too, it was only the wheels and chainset that let the standard spec down, and they're both long gone :)
