My Son In Law is building up a 2010 Felt DA frame into a TT Bike. However, he is having trouble sourcing a rear brake for it as it requires a special type of brake that has to be fitted upside down. Any normal rear brake simply can't be fitted due to the nature of the frame's design.

He has been in contact with Felt but they always seem to be out of stock and despite previous promises to contact him when they are in stock, he never hears from them.

Has anyone any knowledge of where he could source a suitable brake from. Hours of Googling have proven to be unproductive.

Many thanks.

I thought the 2010 model had the rear brake on top of the rear stays near the BB, so within the rear triangle. Felt and google image search show a normal Dura ace brake set.

    http://2010.feltracing.com/USA/2010-Product-Catalog/TT-TRI/TT-TRI-Series/DA.aspx

Webpage above states 7800 rear brake, if the frame is a later model it should have the canti lever type brake under the BB, that i think is properly special.

Many thanks for that Sandy. By coincidence we've just arrived at the same conclusion from further googling.

I looked at TT Frames last year and this was one of the potential buys, i went with a Giant in the end. Most TT as you are finding have random exclusive fittings. Hope the build goes well.
